The Tutor Experience
Our tutors are at the very core of delivering on our mission to ensure that all students gain the literacy skills they need to become successful, confident, and yes…joyful readers!
As a tutor, you will serve full-time with Joyful Readers for 9 months, from early September through late May.
For the first 4 weeks of your service year, we’ll train you alongside others in your cohort on how to build great relationships with students and teachers and become an effective tutor. Our experienced literacy coaches will guide you on student engagement practices and the two reading curriculums that we use, Wilson Fundations or UFLI.
